I’m passionate about making art. My studio is my refuge, my place to breathe and create and recharge.
I am a very versatile artist and enjoy exploring and experimenting with various topics and mediums (for example: charcoal, watercolour, ink, graphite, oil paint, embroidery, printing, coloured pencils etc) Also, I feel very much attracted to textile art and would love to explore that more in my work.
Throughout my career, I have been tutored by various artists, eg Fiona Kirkwood, Rika de Klerk, Toni Ann Ballenden and Gregory Kerr. Besides the aforementioned, I’m mostly self-taught. I’m a resident of Johannesburg and have some work on show at a gallery in Stilbaai and an Artistry shop in Pretoria.
I think art is boundless, it covers continents, speaks in all languages and empathises with all emotions. It’s a privilege as an artist to be able to enter people’s homes with your art and know that your work is touching someone’s soul.
